Mekong River flood risk rises in northeastern Thailand
The Mekong River has risen above 12 metres in Nakhon Phanom and continues to surge in Mukdahan and Ubon Ratchathani due to persistent rain. Officials have installed pumps and express confidence that downtown Nakhon Phanom will not flood due to floodwalls, but some farmland in three districts has been flooded.
