Urban rail fare exemptions for children under 7, disabled
Thailand's Rail Transport Policy Committee has announced fare exemptions for children under 7 and disabled persons on urban rail services in Bangkok and five adjacent provinces. Elderly Thai nationals (60+) and retired veterans will receive a 50% discount. The new policy takes effect 30 days after publication in the Royal Gazette (around September 13, 2026).
