Thailand expands criminal compensation rights to suspects and heirs
A new law amendment extends the right to compensation for wrongful detention to suspects (not just defendants) and allows heirs to claim if the suspect dies before receiving payment. The law takes effect 120 days after publication in the Royal Gazette.
