Thailand may treat nominee ownership as money laundering

Ombudsman President Mr Songsak Saichue proposed classifying nominee shareholding offences as money laundering crimes, which would dramatically increase penalties for foreign investors including AMLO investigations, asset seizures, land confiscations, prison terms and fines of up to ฿3 million.
