Landslide and forest runoff alert issued for 15 Thai provinces
Thailand's Department of Mineral Resources has warned residents in 15 provinces, mostly in the North, of potential landslides and forest runoff from Thursday to Saturday due to a monsoon trough and strong southwesterly winds. Heavy rain has already caused flooding in some areas, including Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Chanthaburi, and Phetchabun. Affected residents are advised to move valuables to higher ground.
