New committee to crack down on illegal foreign goods, businesses
The Cabinet Secretariat has published a regulation establishing a committee to coordinate policy and enforcement against illegal foreign goods and businesses, including nominee structures. The committee will set policy, propose legal amendments, and monitor enforcement. The regulation takes effect August 14, 2026.
