Runoff raises Chao Phraya levels, flood warnings issued

The Royal Irrigation Department is monitoring the Chao Phraya River as runoff from the upper basin increases. Discharge through the Chao Phraya Dam is expected to rise to 500–700 cubic metres per second, possibly raising downstream water levels by 1–1.5 metres. Flood warnings have been issued to seven provinces along the river.
