Treasury narrows land appraisal gap to market value
Thailand's Treasury Department will adjust official land appraisal prices to be closer to market value, reducing the gap from 30-40% below market to 20-25% below, effective January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2030. This will raise land transfer fees and annual land/building taxes but improve loan values for land-backed guarantees.
