Bangkok BMTA to roll out 1,520 electric buses by May 2027
The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) is leasing 1,520 electric buses under a 14.9 billion baht deal. First deliveries of 500 buses are due by end of March 2027, with full fleet by late May 2027. The buses will replace old non-air-conditioned buses on many routes, with fares expected between 15-25 baht.
