Thailand visa exemption: work no longer allowed from Sept 15
Effective September 15, Thailand's 30-day visa exemption covers tourism only, removing the previous allowance for business activities. Anyone planning to work in Thailand—including consultants, engineers, or conference speakers—must obtain a Non-Immigrant B visa or a Destination Thailand Visa before traveling. Entries made before the change keep current rules.
