Bangkok rail fare cap of 45 baht set for January 2027
Bangkok authorities plan to cap rail fares at 45 baht per trip across the entire network starting 1 January 2027. The scheme will allow contactless payment and refunds for fares exceeding the cap. An MoU is expected by December 2026.
