Thai central bank extends LTV mortgage relaxation for one year
The Bank of Thailand has extended its temporary relaxation of loan-to-value (LTV) rules for mortgage loans from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027. The LTV cap is raised to 100% for most property contracts, including first and second mortgages, for properties valued under 10 million baht. Expats applying for mortgages during this period may benefit from lower required down payments.
