Plastic car wraps during floods cause mould, buoyancy risk – academic
A Chulalongkorn University academic warned that sealing cars in plastic bags during floods can trap moisture and cause mould, and that trapped air can make vehicles buoyant enough to float away. He advised moving cars to higher ground as the better option, and if wrapping is unavoidable, to secure the cover and use moisture absorbers.
