Thailand issues 5-day storm warning (Oct 9-13)
The Meteorological Department has issued a second warning for heavy to very heavy rain, thunderstorms, strong winds and hail from 9–13 October 2026. Provinces across most of Thailand are expected to be affected, with flash floods and runoff possible in low-lying and foothill areas. Expats should plan travel carefully, avoid open areas during storms, and monitor updates from the department at www.tmd.go.th or call 1182.
