M6 motorway free on weekends from August 21 to December 25
The M6 motorway between Bang Pa-in and Pak Chong is free to use every weekend from noon Friday to midnight Sunday, as a trial until December 25, 2026. Speed is capped at 80 km/h and only four-wheeled vehicles are allowed. After the trial, tolls will be introduced, expected from April 2027.

The Department of Highways will open the M6 motorway section between Bang Pa-in and Pak Chong free of charge on weekends (Friday noon to Sunday midnight) starting 21 August 2026. The trial allows continuous travel to Nakhon Ratchasima, with a speed limit of 80 km/h and only four-wheel passenger vehicles permitted.
