Thailand's water agency warned 20 provinces, including Chiang Rai, Phuket, and Krabi, to prepare for flash floods, landslides, and river overflows from Aug 2-4 due to heavy monsoon rain. The meteorological department separately forecast rain continuing in some areas until Aug 10, with the monsoon strengthening Aug 7-9.
