Violent storm topples 40 power poles in Bangkok
A rainstorm on Friday evening felled about 40 power poles on Chalong Krung Road in Lat Krabang, Bangkok, cutting electricity and internet to homes and businesses along a 2-km stretch. The road was impassable, and several vehicles were damaged, with minor injuries reported. Crews from the Metropolitan Electricity Authority were working to restore power.
