Mekong hits 12m in Nakhon Phanom, flood risk grows
The Mekong River rose above its 12m crisis point in Nakhon Phanom on Thursday, reaching 12.01m, with further rises downstream in Mukdahan and Ubon Ratchathani as rain persists. Officials say the floodwall can handle levels up to 15m and pumps are ready to protect the city center, though some farmland in three districts is already flooded.
