Residential electricity rates to drop from Sept 1
From September 1, household electricity bills will decrease by about 6 satang per unit, reducing the average rate to 3.86 baht/unit (excluding VAT). The new tariff removes public street-lighting costs from residential bills and caps the first 200 units at 3 baht/unit. Additionally, eligibility for residential rates expands to some occupants without permanent house registration.
