ERC announces nearly fivefold increase in fuel tariff
The Energy Regulatory Commission has announced a sharp increase in the fuel tariff (Ft) from 0.16 to 0.94 baht per unit, driven by rising fuel costs and debt repayment to Egat. Four tariff options are under public consultation until July 20, with the board to finalize the new rate by September. The current tariff of 3.95 baht per unit remains until the end of August.
