Thailand expands list of services exempt from foreign business permits
A new ministerial regulation exempts additional service businesses from requiring a Foreign Business License under the Foreign Business Act. The additions cover securities lending, repurchase agreements, derivatives, telecom services without own network, treasury centers, shared business services, intra-group guarantee, lease of space for financial/ATM machines, and petroleum drilling. The regulation was signed on 18 August 2026 and published in the Royal Gazette.
