Bangkok to replace 1,520 buses with electric fleet by 2027
The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) is rolling out 1,520 electric buses under a 14.9 billion baht lease, with the first 500 arriving by end of March 2027. Fares are expected to be 15–25 baht, and the cleaner, air-conditioned fleet will replace older non-AC buses on dozens of routes.
