Thailand ends work permissions under visa exemption from Sept 15
From September 15, 2026, Thailand's visa-exempt entry will be limited to tourism only, removing the previous allowance for short business trips or work. Anyone arriving for work after that date must obtain a Non-Immigrant B visa before travel, while remote workers are advised to use the Destination Thailand Visa. Entries made before September 15 remain under the old rules.
