New rules expand automatic passport lane access
The Immigration Bureau issued Order 196/2569, replacing the 2023 order on automatic passport control channel eligibility. Effective August 24, 2026, the updated rules broaden access to include permanent residents, diplomatic/official visa holders, visa-exempt or e-visa nationals, Non-F visa holders, re-entry permit holders, and special entry visa holders.
