Thailand lifts Ebola risk designation for Uganda

ThaiRoundup

The Thai Ministry of Public Health has revoked the designation of Uganda as an Ebola-affected area, effective 19 September 2026, following the WHO's declaration that Uganda is Ebola-free. Travelers arriving from Uganda will no longer face special health screening or quarantine under Thailand's Communicable Diseases Act. The Democratic Republic of the Congo remains designated as an Ebola risk area.
