Thailand eases housing loan LTV rules until June 2027

ThaiRoundup

The Bank of Thailand has announced a one-year relaxation of loan-to-value (LTV) rules for housing loans, effective July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. Under the relaxed rules, the maximum LTV ratio is raised to 100% for most property types, including second and subsequent contracts, to support the struggling property sector. Expats looking to buy property in Thailand may find it easier to obtain mortgages during this period.
