Chao Phraya dam releases rise, flood warning for low-lying areas
The government has increased water releases from the Chao Phraya Dam to 2,500 cubic metres per second from noon on 30 September. Flow is forecast to peak at 3,000 cubic metres per second on 2 October at the C.2 station in Nakhon Sawan. Residents in low-lying areas outside flood barriers in Ayutthaya, Ang Thong, Sing Buri and Chai Nat are urged to prepare by moving valuables and monitoring official updates.
