Free M6 motorway section opens to bypass flood areas
The Department of Highways has opened the Bang Pa-in–Hin Kong section of the M6 motorway free of charge in both directions from 6 October 2026. The free service will run until 24:00 on 11 October or until flood conditions improve. Drivers should plan carefully, obey traffic signs, and call 1586 (press 6) for updates.
