Thailand deploys 80 boats, tightens flood compensation rules

Thailand is deploying up to 80 water-pushing boats at the Bang Pakong River mouth to drain flood-hit Chachoengsao and Prachin Buri. Compensation payments will speed up, with over 100 million baht expected on Thursday and Friday, but Khlong Chan residents and commercial renters are not eligible under current rules.
