Eastern Thailand floods persist; Bangkok mostly dry
Severe flooding continues in eastern Thailand's Chachoengsao, Nakhon Nayok, and Prachin Buri provinces, with runoff threatening the Bang Pakong River embankments. Bangkok's eastern districts report 80 flooded communities but main roads remain passable; conditions are expected to improve next week. A new round of rainfall is forecast from Friday to Tuesday, moving into the South, which may worsen flooding in several southern provinces.
