Study finds listeria in all Bangkok enoki mushroom samples

What this means for you

  • Residents and tourists who eat enoki mushrooms should cook them to at least 74°C by boiling or stir-frying for several minutes, not just dipping briefly in hot soup.
  • Avoid eating raw enoki mushrooms or adding them raw as garnishes.
  • Keep raw mushrooms separate from other foods and wash hands and surfaces after handling.
