New ministerial regulation exempts two brokerage types from foreign business license
Thailand's Commerce Ministry issued a regulation exempting two types of brokerage/agency businesses from the Foreign Business Act license requirement: (1) trading derivatives contracts where the underlying commodity is not governed by Thai derivatives law, and (2) trading derivatives contracts settled based on exchange rates or interest rates, executed off-exchange.
