Bangkok opens 233 flood shelters as canals overflow
Heavy rainfall since 24 September has flooded all 50 districts of Bangkok, overflowing major canals and affecting 52,000 households. The BMA has opened 233 emergency shelters (capacity ~15,000) and is coordinating drainage and relief efforts; conditions are expected to ease from 27 September.
