Ayutthaya riverside warned of 10cm water rise on Sunday

ThaiRoundup

The Office of the National Water Resources warned that water levels along the Chao Phraya and Noi rivers in Ayutthaya could rise by about 10cm on Sunday (Oct 4) as runoff moves downstream. Main flood embankments in Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi, and Bangkok are expected to hold, but low-lying areas outside embankments may be affected. Additional rainfall is forecast from October 5-8, though officials say it should not significantly worsen the situation.
