Thailand amends drone rules for specific category permits
The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has issued Amendment No. 2 to the rules for drones under 25 kg, modifying transitional provisions for operators registered under older regulations. Operators can now apply for Specific Category permits by providing proof of manufacturer training; those without prior training must complete a CAAT-approved course within two years from 23 June 2026, or their permit record becomes void.
