Thailand asks firms to cut egg exports after flood losses

Thailand has requested a 30-50% reduction in egg exports until December 2026 following flood losses that killed about 3 million hens. The government also asks farms to maintain a farm-gate price of 4 baht per egg and extend hen lifespans to stabilize supply. Heavy rain is expected from October 9 to 13, potentially worsening conditions.
